Adeline Langenfeld

July 5, 1915 — December 1, 2016

After 101 years of serving the Lord here on earth, Jesus called his good and faithful servant, Adeline Erna Ida (Behring) Langenfeld, home on December 1, 2016. The angels are rejoicing her arrival, as is her husband, Clarence.
Adeline was born on July 5, 1915 in Athens, Wisconsin. She was the second of five children born to Carl and Marie Behring. After spending her childhood and most of her teen years in the Schofield and Wausau area, she moved to Milwaukee - a move that proved to be pinnacle in her life. Once in Milwaukee, Adeline got a job in the Bag Department at Milprint, and it was at a Milprint company picnic where she met the love of her life, Clarence (Iggy) Langenfeld. After only a nine-month courtship, Clarence and Adeline married on May 18, 1935.
Clarence and Adeline were blessed with four children: Karen, Sandra, Robert and Lynda. Upon starting and establishing a family, Adeline stopped working to become a full time mother, as well as tend to the family garden, which was gigantic in space as well as production. Although she sold some of her vegetables, most of them were given away. Not one visitor left without an armful of the latest garden goodies.
Living the example of "do unto others as you would have done to you," Adeline had the kindest of hearts and the most gracious of souls. Her strong faith and overflowing love left an impression on everyone who was blessed to know her. Her gentleness, generosity, compassion, grace, humility, and hospitality were beacons of light to which all were drawn, and they could not help but take her light with them.
The ultimate joy in Adeline's life was her family and love of God. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by all of the many lives she touched in her years as one of God's devoted servants. She is now blessed to be with the Lord and her beloved Iggy.
Adeline is survived by her children; Karen (Jon) Zeiller, Sandra (Gregory) Viduski, Robert (Debra) Langenfeld, and Lynda, as well as her grandchildren, Keith (Bekki), Todd (Stacy), Kim, Jill (Tim), Kristie (Matt), Nicole and Erin as well as her great-grandchildren; Sarah, Emily, Emma, Jake, Kailie and Leisha. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, her brothers Ray, Carl, Victor and her sister, Eleanor.
A very special thank you to the nurses, nurse's aids, therapists, hair stylists, and all who attended to Adeline while she lived at Rocky Knoll. Your care, kindness, and compassion for Adeline for 13 years was amazing. You are all angels on earth and the family's gratitude goes beyond words.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 11th at 12:00 noon with a service at 1:00pm officiated by Pastor Ron Beuthien (Solid Rock Christian Center). Both will take place at Ballhorn Funeral Home, 1201 N 8th St, Sheboygan, WI 53081.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Adeline's memory to the Rocky Knoll Foundation: Rocky Knoll Health Care Center, N7135 Rocky Knoll Pkwy, Plymouth, WI 53073.
