Adrian Wagner Sr.

Adrian F. Wagner Sr., of Terrace Place, Sheboygan, formerly of Cleveland, passed away, Wednesday, July 9, 2014, age 87. He was born in the Town of Mosel to parents Carl and Leona (Herr) Wagner. Adrian was united in marriage on May 26, 1951 to June Rettele. Adrian served as Corporal in the US Army on active duty from 1951-1953 and Reserves thru 1957. He received the Korean Service Medal with two Bronze Service Stars, the Combat Infantry Badge, and United Nations Service Medal. He worked for Kohler Company in the enamel department for 35 years. Adrian was also a past member of the Cleveland Lions Club and the Kohler Quarter Century Club. He was a member of St. Dominic's ushers committee as well as a server for funeral masses. Adrian was past commander of the Cleveland VFW #8974. He belonged to numerous card clubs, loved to play sheeps head and listen to Jerry Schneider on the radio. Adrian liked to watch the Brewers and Packers. Adrian is survived by three children; Adrian F. (Judy) Wagner Jr., Mark Wagner and Michelle Wagner, four grandchildren; April (Dave) Mair, Melissa (Greg) Thomson, Andrea Wagner and Tucker Wagner, two great-grandchildren; Eleanor and Isaac Mair, four brothers; Clement (Bonnie) Wagner, Lee Roy (Marlene) Wagner, Jerome (Mary Jo) Wagner, and Cletus (Nancy) Wagner, three sisters; Delores Wesener, Florence Jetzer, and Sylvia (Bill) Silberberg. Sister-in-law; Mary Wagner. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his parents, wife June, brother Charles Wagner, two sisters; Anna Cile Wagner and Sr. Veronica Wagner, brother-in-laws Wilfred Jetzer and Melvin Wesener. Visitation at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2133 N. 22nd Street, Sheboygan on Monday, July 14 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Mass of Christen Burial will be celebrated at 7:00 PM with Fr. Philip Reifenberg presiding. Private committal at St. Wendel Cemetery, Cleveland. The family would like to thank St. Nicholas Hospice, Terrace Place staff and Gen Paske for all of their kindness and care.
