Agnes Wagner

March 4, 1920 — February 29, 2016

Agnes F. Wagner age 95, passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016. She was born in the Town of Mosel on March 4, 1920 to parents Nicholas Salm Jr. and Marie Gass. Agnes was united in marriage on April 26, 1941 to James J. Wagner. James and Agnes worked side by side on the Wagner family homestead until their retirement.

Agnes was a kind, loving, devoted mother, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma and special friend to all. She worked countless hours farming and raising her children. She enjoyed reading, baking, and playing sheepshead. Agnes volunteered many years at Morningside Nursing Home, playing bingo with the residents. She also spent many hours listening to EWTN and praying the rosary.

Agnes is survived by four children; William N. Wagner of Sheboygan Falls, Betty Ann Koenig of Plymouth, Mary (Harry) Hibbard of Newton and Jean (Ted) Behling of Cleveland; one daughter-in-law, Iris Wagner of Sheboygan Falls; ten grandchildren; eighteen greatgrandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter; two sisters, Mary Lou (Richard) Sixel of Sheboygan and Carol (Elroy) Jaeger of Newton. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Agnes is preceded in death by her parents; her husband James; son, Thomas; daughter-in-law, Karen Wagner; seven brothers and four sisters.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 4 at 5:00 PM with Fr. Matthew Widder presiding at St. Dominic Parish, 2113 N. 22nd Street, Sheboygan. A time of visitation and support will be on Friday from 3:00 PM until the time of Mass. Private burial at Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic or St. Dominic Parish. The family would like to thank the staff at Sheboygan Senior Community for their care and support. Also a special thank you to Amanda Fiore, granddaughter for her years of daily lunches with Grandma Agnes at her home and later at the Sheboygan Senior Community.
