Albert Eichmann, age 88, passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and daughter on Sunday, April 21, 2024, at Froedtert Family Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc.
He was born on April 20, 1936, in Poland to the late Wilhelm and Emilie (Tober) Eichmann. In 1955, Albert and his brothers immigrated to the United States, settling in Sheboygan with their aunt and uncle, Augusta and Edward Lungwitz. Albert proudly served in the United States Army from 1960 until 1966. He was stationed in Germany where he was reunited with his childhood friend and future wife, Ingrid Semrau. On January 4, 1963, the two were united in marriage. He was employed at Vollrath Company for over 39 years, serving in different roles within the company, retiring in 1998. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
Albert enjoyed singing in the Concordia Singing Society, where he also served as the secretary for many years. His interests included watching the stock market, soccer and the Green Bay Packers. He was a dedicated family man and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ingrid; a daughter, Annette (Jeff) Erdmann; grandchildren, Daniel and Erika Erdmann; a brother Robert (Barbara) Eichmann; nephews, a niece, cousins and other family living in the U.S. and Germany.
Along with his parents, Albert was preceded in death by a brother Otto Eichmann.
A private service will be held for the family. Inurnment will take place at Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Albert’s name.
