Alexander Mueller, age 92, of Sheboygan, went home to his Lord and Savior on Sunday afternoon, September 20, 2015 at his home. He was born in Sheboygan on August 10, 1923 to David and Marie Mueller. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School, Class of 1942. Following graduation Alex proudly served his country in the US Army, serving in the Pacific and European areas of operation during WWII. After his honorable discharge he worked at Garton Toy Company for eighteen years and then became an employee with the City of Sheboygan, retiring in 1986. On January 11, 1964 Alex and Judy Taylor were united in marriage at Immanuel Evangelical Congregational Church. Al had a lifelong devotion to his church and was an active member of St. John's United Church of Christ where he belonged to the Brotherhood and served on the church council. He was known for his warm smile, his great sense of humor, gentle demeanor, playing the accordion, dancing the polka, enjoying chocolate, and above all spending time with his family. He was a Christian husband and father who led his family by his example of a Christ centered life. In addition to his loving wife, Judy, he is survived by his children, Priscilla (Bob) Schetter of Neshkoro, WI, Georgette (Henry "Jody") Crews of Palatka, FL, Sterling (Nicole) Mueller of Chesapeake, VA, and Trevin (Ann) Mueller of Sheboygan; eleven grandchildren, Tyler Schetter, Kayla Schetter, Andrew Mittelstaedt, Alexis Mittelstaedt, Adam Mittelstaedt, Cody Crews, Evan Mueller, Brianna Mueller, Connor Mueller, Jody Crews, and Angel Estremera; three great-grandchildren, Alexander Mittelstaedt, Robbie Goerbig and Dominic Estremera; one sister, Esther Price; one sister-in-law, Laverne Mueller; and other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John (Irma) Mueller, Henry Mueller, Albert (Anna) Mueller, David (Theresa) Mueller; his sisters, Marie (Louis) Jaeger, Frieda (Frank) Kastelic, Betty (Tom) Stabbe, Sophie (Don) Oostydk, Emma Mueller and Catherine Mueller; and his brother-in-law, Edward Price. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1248 Lincoln Avenue, Sheboygan, WI. Rev. Lorri Steward will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels, 1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan, WI and at the church on Thursday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow with full military honors at Wildwood Cemetery. His family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses from Aurora At Home Hospice, Dr. Rieck Beiersdorf, Dr. Michael Johnson, and Rev.
