Allen Lee Ostermann, Sr., 65, of Sheboygan, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Allen was born March 24, 1950, in Sheboygan, to the late Henry and Leona (Lembke) Ostermann. He graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1968. He was employed by Vollrath for 38 years, retiring in 2008. On March 22, 1969, he married the former Sandy Drier at First Reformed Church in Cedar Grove. Allen was a member of Elm City Bow Hunters and the Wisconsin Bow Hunters Association. He was also a member of the Vollrath Local Union 1472. Allen enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing and traveling the United States in his car. He was also an avid Packer and Brewer fan. In addition to his wife of 46 years, he is survived by his son, Allen (Bobbi) Ostermann, Jr., Disputanta, VA; three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Brett and Seth Ostermann; one sister, Arline Blay, Sheboygan; two sisters-in-law, Carol (Jerry) Kuhn and Louette Ostermann and two brothers-in-law, Lee Drier and Bernie Jaeger. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerhardt and Lowell Ostermann, Henry Ostermann, Jr., one sister, Geraldine Jaeger and two brothers-in-law, Ralph Blay and James (Jeanne) Drier and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Maurice and Marion Drier. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Reformed Church (612 Ontario Avenue, Sheboygan) with the Rev. Bill TeWinkle officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Ballhorn Chapels (1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan) from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, at the church, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at the Roseland Cemetery in Marion, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Allen's name. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Luke's Medical Center, Milwaukee, the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their care and compassion during his stay and the many family and friends who offered their support.
