Amelia Gamez, 79, of Sheboygan, passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at home. Amelia was born February 26, 1935, in Raymondville, TX to the late Juan and Alicia (Alvarado) Villarreal. On February 21, 1953, she married Antonio Gamez in Texas. The couple moved to Sheboygan in 1967. Amelia owned and operated Amelia's Mexican Restaurant for 15 years. In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children, Tony Jr., John, Henry, Diane and Geraldine; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Mike and Lupe; four sisters, Mary Lou, Alicia, Margie and Sylvia. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Clement Catholic Church, (522 New York Street, Sheboygan) with the Rev. Matthew Widder as celebrant. Friends may call on Monday, September 15, 2014, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove) and again on Tuesday, at the church, from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the Mass. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Fr. Matthew Widder, Deacon Baleriano Gonzalez and his wife, Emilia Gonzalez.
