Ann Westermeyer

November 24, 1973 — February 21, 2015

Ann Marie Westermeyer, age 41, of Sheboygan Falls passed away Saturday February 21, 2015 at the TLC Home in Sheboygan Falls where she had been a resident the last three months, from a degenerative brain disease. She was born in Sheboygan on November 24, 1973, a daughter of Frederick and Judy (Harms) Westermeyer. She attended Meeme grade school and was a 1992 graduate of Kiel High School. Ann received her LPN degree from Northeast Technical College in Green Bay in 2002. Ann worked in the Aurora Medical community for several years, including Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, Sheboygan Clinic, and Aurora Bay Care in Green Bay. She was a life-long member of St. John's United Church of Christ in town Herman where she had been active in the youth group and played in the bell choir. During her high school years, Ann enjoyed participating in various sports programs at the Kiel High School. She loved to travel, and saw much of the United States, also travelling in Hawaii and London. She helped on the Westermeyer farm, and loved animals, especially her cats. Surviving Ann are her parents, Frederick (Judy) Westermeyer of town Meeme; two brothers, Brian (Jill) of New Holstein and Henry of Howards Grove, her nieces and nephews, Jenna, Adam and Hunter Westermeyer, Erik and Emily Westermeyer, Amanda and Amber Wilkens; a great-niece, Madison Mesarina, other relatives and many friends. Ann was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Henry and Lorena Westermeyer, her maternal grandparents, Carl and Marie Harms, a niece, Brianna Westermeyer; her uncles, Orlin Schueler and Ralph Horness; and her god-mother Patricia Wernecke. A gathering and funeral service will be held for Ann on Sunday March 1, 2015 at St. John's United Church of Christ 3401 Orchard Road, Town Herman. Reverend Melinda Feller, pastor will officiate. Friends may call on the family at St. Johns from 2:00 p.m. until the service at 5:00 p.m. Private family committal will be held at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Ann's name. The Westermeyer family wishes to thank all her caregivers, and the wonderful staff at TLC Homes in Oostburg and Sheboygan Falls and Sharon Richardson Community Hospice as well as the staff at Project Independence. A special thank you to Ann's relatives, neighbors, friends, her church family at Schwarzwald, and her Doctors. The kind words and acts of compassion helped ease the pain and gave us strength. Ann will be remembered for her infectious smile, her love of family, friends and life. She will remain forever in our hearts.
