Annette Vogel

Annette M. Vogel, of Sheboygan, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at Sunny Ridge Rehabilitation Center, her home of the last 4 years, due to complications of pneumonia. She was 70 years old.

Annette was born July 28, 1947 in Appleton, the daughter of Frederick and Marion (nee Miersch) Zastrow. For part of her childhood, she was raised by her aunt and uncle, Josephine and Hilarian "Lefty" Hauch of Sheboygan. She attended Trinity Lutheran School in Menasha, and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1965. After graduation, she attended Madison Area Technical College where she earned a nursing degree. As an LPN, she worked for the VNA, as well as Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Hospital, St. Nicholas Hospital and Meadowview Manor.
On August 30, 1969, she was united in marriage with Gordon Vogel at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.

Annette was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sheboygan, where she actively volunteered for numerous causes, including the church library, as well as Bethesda Thrift Store and Neat Repeats. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, reading, bible study, crafts and spending time with her grandson.

Annette is survived by her husband Gordon of Sheboygan and two sons: Eric (Dawn) Vogel of Middleton and Marc Vogel of Chicago, IL. She is further survived by her grandson Jason Vogel, her brother David Zastrow (Jeffrey Ferraro) of Wilton Manors, FL, special cousin Kenneth (Patricia) Zastrow of Sheboygan, sister-in-law Larvelle (Gene) Herber of Madison, brother-in-law Bob (Cindy) Vogel of Elkhart Lake, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. in Sheboygan. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00am - 12:00 noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested.
