Antonio L. Flores

Antonio L. Flores, age 75, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer and was surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.

He was born in León, Mexico, on July 17, 1949, to the late Bonifacio and Anselma (Lemus) Flores. He attended the University of León in Guanajuato, Mexico. In 1975, Antonio married the love of his life, Rosa Maria Cortes. Shortly after their wedding, the two migrated to the United States to pursue and create their own American Dream for themselves, their family, and for future generations. Antonio and Rosa Maria paved the way and sponsored many families to embark on and pursue the American Dream.

He was a devoted member of St. Clement Catholic Church in Sheboygan, where Antonio was very involved in the Emmaus Men’s Church Group. Antonio dedicated over 34 years of service to Kohler Company, earning a spot in the Quarter Century Club.

Antonio enjoyed gardening, watching the Green Bay Packers, playing soccer, and following the Club León soccer team. After retirement, Antonio and Rosa Maria enjoyed making many memories traveling around the world. He was a dedicated family man who was there for every occasion and loved making everyone around him feel special, especially his beloved grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Antonio is survived by his loving wife, Rosa Maria; children, Laura Felde, Miriam (Michael) Schnur, Antonio (Kristina) Flores, Michelle (Bladimir Castillo) Flores, Anthony (Roxanne Kraft) Flores, and Jennifer (Nathan) Zastrow; grandchildren, Michael Schnur, Nicholas Felde, Ashley Schnur, Maximus Castillo, Jorge Felde, Eilee Flores, Stella Flores, Sophia Schnur, Anthony Flores, Mila Flores, Nathan Zastrow Jr., and Ezekiel Zastrow; extended family, Gonzalez, Lemus and Garza Family, along with many friends and a loving community.

His legacy of relentless determination, courage, empowerment, and love—leading by example of what is possible when you believe in yourself—will be cherished by his family and the entire community for generations to come.

A time of visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at Ballhorn Chapels, 1201 N 8th St., from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again at St. Clement Catholic Church, 522 New York Ave., in Sheboygan, on Friday from 10:00 AM until NOON. A Catholic Mass for Antonio will be held at NOON on Friday, December 20, 2024, at St. Clement Catholic Church. Antonio will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Sheboygan.

The family would like to thank the excellent staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for the compassionate care provided to Antonio in his last journey. They would also like to thank Fr. Glenn Powers, Fr. Carlos Zapata, and Fr. Dennis Beltre for their continuous spiritual support, numerous visits, and prayers throughout this difficult time. To Sr Miguel Beatriz Garcia, Sr Martin Avina and the many others that were with Antonio and our family during this difficult time, thank you, for your time and dedication. It means the world to us.
