Arlene Pappas

Arlene Esther Pappas (nee Hoffman) passed away to join the angels in heaven on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Sheboygan Senior Community surrounded by her family. She was 95 years old.
Arlene was born October 6, 1922 in Marquette County, to William and Anna (nee Kuck) Hoffman. She attended Ourtown School in Sheboygan Falls. On February 22, 1941, she was united in marriage to Frank Pappas. He preceded her in death March 4, 1994 after more than 50 years of marriage.
Arlene was employed at Morningside Nursing Home and later St. Nicholas Hospital, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and American Veterans Auxiliary Badger State #13. She enjoyed doing crafts, enjoyed country music, and cherished time spent with family. Her unconditional love for her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren will be remembered by all.
She is survived by her son Eugene (Erika) Pappas of Sheboygan and four daughters: Shirley (Edward) Michael of Maricopa, AZ, Barbara (James) Heckert of Sheboygan, Beverly (David) Fischer of Sheboygan and Lynn (Dale) Schwantes of Oostburg. She is further survived by 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren, her brother Robert (friend Evelyn Goyette) Hoffman of Sheboygan, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, grandson Michael Zeiler, 6 sisters, 4 brothers and many other relatives.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. in Sheboygan. Pastor Brett Matz will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:00-1:30 p.m. She will be laid to rest beside Frank at Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Mark Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.
