Arlene M. Tarr, 82, of the town of Sheboygan, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Pine Haven in Sheboygan Falls.
Arlene was born March 28, 1936 in Milwaukee, the daughter of George and Isabel (nee Hanson) Schwarten. She attended schools in the Milwaukee area and graduated from Rufus King. After high school, she was employed at Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee
On April 21, 1956 she was united in marriage to Richard Tarr. He preceded her in death June 9, 2008.
When her children were in school, Arlene worked as a church secretary in the Milwaukee Area. She had been a member of the Elks Lodge #46 in Milwaukee alongside Richard, and attended First Reformed Church in Sheboygan Falls for the last few years. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling.
Arlene is survived by her son, Kenneth (Pam) Tarr of Sheboygan Falls and a daughter, Janice (Mark) Hanson of Green Bay. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Ashley and Kristin Hanson, Kenneth Jr., Catrina and Elizabeth Tarr, Tessa (Brian) Hofman and Caleb Ebbers, great-granddaughter Alena Hofman other relatives and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Ballhorn Funeral and Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. in Sheboygan. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in New Berlin. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 - 3:00 PM.
A memorial fund has been established in his name for the Sheboygan County Humane Society.
