Arthur Quasius Jr.

Arthur R. Quasius Jr. age 89, passed away surrounded by his family on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness. He was born on September 3, 1925 to parents Arthur and Lillie (Markwardt) Quasius. Arthur attended North High School until he was inducted into the Army Air Force - 20th Division in December of 1943. He proudly served in Saipan for 18 months until his honorable discharge in March of 1946. Arthur became an apprentice carpenter and began his career in the family business, Quasius Brothers. He retired as a project supervisor in 1987. Arthur was united in marriage to Charlotte E. Meyer on July 7, 1951 until her passing on March 31, 1970. Arthur was united in marriage to Gloria L. (Beasley) Johnson on August 18, 1972 until her passing on May 7, 2012. Arthur enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at his cottage on Kettle Moraine Lake. There he would enjoy fishing, remodeling projects and time around the campfire. Arthur had a passion for gardening and sharing the fruits of his bounty. He kept active by baking, taking walks and maintaining his home that he built in 1954. Arthur was a man of integrity who always put his family first. He will always be loved, remembered and missed. Arthur is survived by four children, Dale (Marty) Spaeth, Jim (Cheryl) Quasius, Kathy (John) Brown and Jane (Bill) Thomas; five step-children, Bonnie (Bruce) Russell, Steve Johnson, Darlene Johnson, Sheri (John) Klein and Zack (Gail) Johnson; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Sherry Green, Sungja Lee; son-in-law, Mike Walter; one sister Marian Balck; one brother, Alan (Betty Jo) Quasius. Also survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Arthur was preceded in death by daughter, Terry Johnson; son, John Quasius; step-son, Randy Johnson; step-daughter, Cindy Walter; brothers, Fritz, Willard and Donnie; sister, Ruth Quasius. A time of visitation and support will be held at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road (Hwy 42 & JJ), on Friday, May 1 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Continued visitation will be held at St. Paul's U.C.C., 2114 Wedemeyer St., Sheboygan on Saturday, May 2 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Funeral Service will be held at church at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mark Jaberg presiding. Burial to follow at Wildwood Cemetery. Memorials in Arthur's name are appreciated.
