Arthur E. Zimmermann, age 84 of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Sunday, September 07, 2014 at Sunny Ridge Health Center after a lengthy illness. He was born in Plymouth on August 2, 1930 to parents Edwin and Mildred (Jacobs) Zimmermann. Arthur graduated from St. John the Baptist Catholic School in Plymouth in 1945. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1952 -1954. Prior to his military service, Arthur worked in the Plymouth area as a plumber. Arthur worked at Kohler Company in the foundry from 1955 until his retirement in 1993. He was united in marriage to Madeline Lorenz at St. Rose Catholic Church, Tn. Lima on July 13, 1963. She preceded him in death on December 20, 1997. Arthur was an avid sportsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on crafts. Arthur is survived by one son; Keith Zimmermann of Sheboygan Falls, two brothers; Edward (Sharon) Zimmermann of Sheboygan Falls and Tom (Susan) Zimmermann of Plymouth, one sister; Laura Stricker of Port Washington. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, his twin sister Arlene Renk, brother-in-laws; Arwin Stricker and William "Fritz" Renk, one nephew; Jack Stricker and one niece; Anna Pease. Private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, Sheboygan Falls and private burial at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. A special thanks to the staff at Theda Clark Hospital, Neenah and Sunny Ridge Health for their care and support. In lieu of flowers memorials in Arthur's name to the church.
