Aurelia Hense, age 90, a resident of Azura Memory Care in Clinton, WI, died Friday morning, July 25, 2014. She was born October 5, 1923 in Sheboygan to Gottlieb and Julia (Heffele) Hense. As a child she contracted spinal meningitis and lost her hearing. She attended Delavan School for the Deaf. On October 11, 1947 Aurelia and Kenneth Hense were united in marriage. Kenneth preceded her in death on September 21, 1983. For more than twenty-five years Aurelia was employed at Lakeland Manufacturing as a sewing machine operator. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Aurelia is survived by her son, Ken (Janice) Hense of Cherry Valley, IL; grandson, Jonathan Hense and granddaughter, Sarah Hense both of Chicago, IL; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Kerry Hense; her brother, Victor Hense; and sister, Wilma Reineking. Private family graveside services will be held. Aurelia's family would like to thank the exceptional staff at Azura Memory Care and Beloit Regional Hospice for their compassionate care.
