Betty Hansen

Betty V, Hansen, 85, of Sheboygan, died Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. Betty was born September 5, 1930 in Sheboygan to Alois and Paulina (Gruber) Strasser.
On June 30, 1956 she was united in marriage to the love of her life Gordon W. Hansen at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Gordon preceded her in death on June 19, 2010.
Betty was a member of St. Dominic's Catholic Church. She worked at Plastics Engineering and Quality Cleaning. She was an avid reader, loved crocheting, knitting, painting, and her flower garden. Betty enjoyed her dogs, and spending time with her family and friends. She truly loved her children and grandchildren.
Betty is survived by her two sons, Chris Hansen of Sheboygan, and Robert Hansen of Sheboygan Falls; two daughters, Susan (Special friend Paul Fox) Hansen, and Jean (Randy) Wolff both of Sheboygan; by seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; sister, Irmie Zerger of Howards Grove, by sisters-in-law Barbara Strasser, and Margaret Meise, both of Sheboygan; and by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon, sister Elsa (Paul) Kasberger, brother Alois "Sonny" Strasser, and three brothers-in-law Ronald "Zeke" Zerger, Jerome Hansen, and Edward Meise, and by two sister-in-laws; Ione Lucas and Shirley Patchack.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Ballhorn Chapels 1201 N. 8th St. Sheboygan, with Fr. Richard Fleischman officiating. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Kohler. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the FUNERAL HOME.
A memorial fund in Betty's name has been established.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff at Sharon S. Richardson Hospice for all the care and comfort they gave Betty and our family.
