Betty Jane Mueller, age 87, longtime town of Meeme resident, passed away Wednesday September 10, 2014 at the Pine Haven Christian Community in Sheboygan Falls, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 13, 1927 on the Wesener Homestead in the town of Meeme, a daughter of the late William and Clara (Scheib) Wesener. Betty attended Taylor School in the town of Meeme, and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School in 1945. On May 17, 1947, Betty was united in marriage to Clyde A. Mueller at St. Paul's U.C.C. in town Mosel. Together Betty and Clyde farmed on the Wesener Homestead in town Meeme, retiring from active farming in 1986. The couple enjoyed over 67 years together. Betty had a strong faith, and was active in the church. She had been a member of the former St. Paul's United Church of Christ in town Mosel and later was active with the congregation of St. John's United Church of Christ in Schwartzwald where she had been active with the Women's Guild and the choir. In addition, Betty was a member of the Edwards Homemakers and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels over 20 years. Clyde and Betty enjoyed travelling throughout the United States, and playing cards with numerous card clubs over 50 years. Betty was also active for many years in the Tuesday Ladies Bowling League at Klemme's Lanes (now JB's Lanes). She cherished the visits, and puppy sitting, of her family's dogs, Quincy and Grover. Surviving Betty are her loving husband Clyde, two sons; Russell (Lisa) of Kiel and Scott (Tamara) of Lone Rock, WI and three grandchildren; Stephanie (Kyle) Heim, Daniel Mueller and Amanda Mueller, one brother-in-law, Harold Henschel. In addition to her parents, Betty was also preceded in death by two infant children, her brother, Elroy Wesener and her sister, Marion Henschel. A Funeral Service will be conducted for Betty on Sunday September 14, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at St. John's United Church of Christ, Schwartzwald (Town Herman) with the Reverend Melinda Feller, pastor, officiating. Private interment services will be held at St. Paul's Cemetery in the town of Mosel. Friends may call at the CHURCH on Sunday from 1:00 until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established to Meals on Wheels and St. Johns U.C.C. Schwartzwald. Betty's family wishes to thank the Nurses and Staff at Pine Haven, Hospice Advantage and Reverend Melinda Feller for the loving care she received.
