Betty Schwarz

March 7, 1930 — March 8, 2016

Betty Jane Schwarz, age 86, of Sheboygan, passed away Tuesday evening, March 8, 2016.
She was born March 7, 1930 in Sheboygan to Frank and Alice (Pacourek) Reichardt. She attended Sheboygan area schools. On January 7, 1950 Betty and Cliff Schwarz were united in marriage.
For a number of years Betty worked at Hand Knit Hosiery and later at Lakeshore Display Co. where she was highly respected for her enthusiasm and meticulous work ethic.
Above all, she was a wonderful homemaker who took great pride in her home and her family. She was especially proud of her children and extremely happy to be Gramma to her six grandchildren and her great-grandson. Betty always had time to play board games or any activity they chose to do.
Betty enjoyed making ceramic crafts (for which she won numerous awards), sewing, gardening, and decorating the home.
A favorite pastime in later years was taking early morning walks along the lakeshore with Cliff. She also loved taking day trips with her sisters.
Betty was a former member of Zion United Church of Christ.
In addition to her devoted husband, Cliff, with whom she shared a 66 year marriage, she is survived by her children, Gregg (Julie) Schwarz and Robin (Paul) Callan all of Sheboygan; her grandchildren, Kristin (Ryan) Olstad, Heather (Ryan Hogle) Schwarz, Taylor (fianc, Vanessa Hauch) Schwarz, Brandon (Amy) Schwarz, Rebecca Callan and Kimberly Callan; her great-grandson, Max Hogle; two sisters, Dorothy Schad and Carol Primasing; her brother, Richard (Grace) Reichardt; her sister-in-law, Joyce Schwarz; many relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Bob Reichardt, three sisters, Lorraine Kolenc, Genevieve Heinen and Jeanette Faught; and sisters-in-law, Delores Rakow and Virginia Rakow.
In honoring Bettys wishes, there will be no services.
A memorial fund has been established in her name for the Alzheimers Association.
Fifty-eight years ago Betty used to dance her baby girl to sleep to the song You Are My Special Angel. Mom, you are our "Special Angel".
