Beverly Athorp

Beverly J. Athorp, 68, of Cleveland, passed away, Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital, Milwaukee. Beverly was born July 13, 1945 to her late parents Carroll and Loretta (Wicke) Guidinger. She graduated from UW - Madison in 1967 with a degree in elementary education. During that time she spent a year studying in Hawaii. Beverly married Lloyd Athorp on July 22, 1972 in Two Rivers. She taught Kindergarten in Oregon, WI and Valders, WI. She was a member of St. Johns Women's Guild and the local homemakers club. Beverly actively served on her class reunion committee and recently her fiftieth year reunion. She enjoyed her home in Spread Eagle, WI and all the activities there. Beverly is survived by husband Lloyd, five children; Todd (Stephanie), Lisa Athorp, Kurt (Lesa), Scott (Carolyn) and Lana Athorp, three grandchildren; Tierney Athorp, Kira and Avia Athorp, and the soon arrival of Hunter Athorp. Brother Kenneth (Linda) Guidinger. Father-in-law Gerald Athorp and Beverly Smith. Also loved by other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service will be held for Beverly on Saturday, September 21 at 1:00 PM at St. John - St. Peter Lutheran Church (1255 W. Washington Ave., Cleveland) with Rev. David Endorf presiding. Visitation at the church on Saturday from 10:30 AM until time of service. Burial at St. Paul Cemetery - Town of Mosel.
