Beverly Ann Illig, 84, of Sheboygan, died Wednesday morning, September 20, 2017 at St. Nicholas Hospital.
She was born October 3, 1932 in Sheboygan to Henry and Caroline (Zwerg) Kaiser. She attended Jefferson Elementary School and Sheboygan North High School.
On September 16, 1950 Beverly was united in marriage to Carl Illig. He preceded her in death on November 13, 1996.
Bev worked at various restaurants in the area but was employed for over twenty-five years at St. Nicholas Hospital in the housekeeping department and retired from the dietary department.
She was a life member of the Sheboygan VFW Post #9156 Ladies Auxiliary and a member of Ebenezer United Church of Christ. She enjoyed line dancing, knitting, crocheting, and making crafts. She looked forward to her monthly lunches with former co-worker friends. Bev enjoyed spending time with her family including the Kaiser family reunions. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed warm campfires.
Bev is survived by her children, Barbara Eslinger, Diane (Tim) Zimmerman, Connie (Mac) Campbell, and Duane (Bobbi) Illig all of Sheboygan; her sister, Janice Trester of The Colony, Texas; her sister-in-law, Mardell Schuricht of Sheboygan; her eight grandchildren, Tracey (Rich Hitsman) Entringer, Jason (Jamie Forey) Segalle, Stephanie (Jon) Winkelhake, Doug (Colleen) Zimmerman, Paul (Tamika) Winger, Andy Illig, Holly (fiancé, Nick Kalkopf) Zimmerman, and Justin (Megan) Illig; fourteen great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her husband Carl, she was preceded in death by two sisters and their husbands, Betty (Dick) Kade and Shirley (Orville) Farnes; one brother-in-law, Walter Trester; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Norbert (Theown) Dondlinger; and her son-in-law, Donald Eslinger.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at 3:00 p.m.at Ebenezer United Church of Christ. Rev. Dr. Roger Mealiff will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Private family entombment will take place.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
