Carol Robinson

October 24, 1945 — December 13, 2014

Carol Jean Robinson, age 69, of Sheboygan, passed away Saturday evening, December 13, 2014 after a short stay at Meadow View Manor. Carol was born, the youngest of six siblings, on October 24, 1945 in the small town of Marshfield, WI to Joseph and Lucille (Barkley) Bever. 1963 was an especially great year for Carol. On October 12, at St. John's Catholic Church, she married the love of her life, Raymond Robinson and in the spring she graduated from Columbus High School. The following year they welcomed their first son, Scott, to the world and then two years later, in 1966, another addition, their only daughter, Carie. That year in April they were overjoyed with excitement. It was the big move to Sheboygan, even though they did not have any friends and family there for support. Raymond took care of Carol and the little ones and began employment at the Kohler Company. It was here that Carol resided for the rest of her life, with occasional visits to her family up north. While starting the newest chapter of life, due in large part to their outgoing spirits and caring hearts, Carol and Raymond surrounded the family with many new friends who soon became known as family. During these years she also joined the Kohler Company in employment. Eight years soon passed and the last member of their family, son Jason, joined them. Carol took some time off to take care of her family who were her pride and joy. She only returned to the work world after the children were old enough. She then worked at Evan's Department Store and later finished her working career at Greendale Nursing Home where she assisted the staff as an activity aide. After retirement Carol continued to give her unconditional love and devotion to her family. She especially loved helping out with raising grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and pets. Throughout her life you could find Carol reading, camping, canning pickles and salsa with Raymond, collecting antiques, taking trips to Oneida, helping out her neighbors and friends, and working on her lawn and flowerbeds. Her forty-eight years in Sheboygan were well spent and many great moments and memories were made there. Carol is survived by her children, Scott Robinson, Jason (Lynn) Robinson, and son-in-law, Steve Ninnemann; grandchildren, Steven (Trisha), Samantha, Tre, Kierra, Meeja, and JaLin; great-grandchildren, Gavin, Aiden, Maddilynn, and Khloe; her three siblings, Harriet Huber, Joe (Mary) Bever, and Yvonne Devine; and numerous family and friends. In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Robinson; her daughter, Carie Ninnemann; her mother-in-law, Loretta Seubert; her brother, Arnie Bever; her sister, Margie Fesler; her brothers-in-law, Ray Devine and Elroy Huber; her nephew, Mitch Bever and his son, Eric Bever; and her niece, Phyllis Huber. A memorial service will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at St. John's United Church of Christ. Rev. Gregory S. Whelton, Pastor, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in her name. One of Carol's favorite quotes was "live, laugh, love." These three things she truly believed and you can see she has fulfilled them throughout her lifetime. She lived every day to the fullest, filling her days with things to do to keep herself busy. She laughed with friends and family. And, most of all, her compassion and care for her loved ones was ever present. Her family and friends are so fortunate to have shared precious time with her. Carol's compassionate heart, ways, and smile will truly be missed.
