Caroline Rodewald

Caroline S. (Lutze) Rodewald, 102, of Sheboygan, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at her home on Tuesday, September 20, 2022.  A child of God, and daughter of George and Antonia (Jost) Lutze, she was born August 1, 1920.  Caroline was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter St. Paul Lutheran Church in Cleveland.

On January 15, 1941, she was united in marriage to Milton Rodewald.  He preceded her in death in 1998.  They were married for 57 years.  Caroline and Milton were members at St. Paul UCC for many many good years, they also were members at the Methodist Church in Egg Harbor, and St. Luke Methodist Church in Sheboygan for a short time before returning to St. Paul UCC.

God’s gift to Caroline and Milton were their children; Roger Rodewald and his children; John (Angela) Rodewald, and their children; Zachary Rodewald, Kate Rodewald, Jenna Rodewald, Suzanne Arendt, and her daughters, Sedona Arendt and Lili Arendt, and Sonja (special friend Daniel Deljou) Rodewald, Anntionette (Jim Gravelle) Rodewald, and her daughter, Jennifer (Randall) Mcadoo and their son Peyton Mcadoo and Ronet (Ed) Murray, and his daughter, Melissa Murray.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Milton, and daughter-in-law Miriam.

Caroline had a good and purposeful life, those who knew her will remember and miss her.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. Sheboygan, with Rev. John Berg officiating.  Entombment will take place at Lutheran Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME.  If you are unable to join the family for the service, it will be live streamed on Caroline’s obituary page on the funeral home website.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels of Sheboygan County in Caroline’s name.
