Catherine Kober

May 4, 1960 — November 9, 2013

Catherine Ann, daughter of Frederick and Nancy Brunette Kober, born in Sheboygan on May 4th 1960, left this earthly world on November 9th, 2013. She is joyfully reunited with her father and grandparents in heaven. For many years, her beautiful hazel eyes and dimples greeted customers at Kober Heating and Cooling on Sheboygan's south side, where she worked side by side with her parents. Her first job was also at a family business, her grandpa's Brunettes Ace Hardware. Most recently she served customers in the retail store of the Old Wisconsin Sausage Company. Catherine attended Immaculate Conception grade school, graduated from South High in 1978, and recently completed a course of study at LTC. She grew up pool hopping from one backyard to the next behind the family home on South 15th Street. Childhood camping trips to the Kettle Moraine and the UP, family vacations to Mexico and Europe, celebrations of her beloved nieces' milestones in Kansas City were made complete with her wonderful sense of humor. Her gramma Kober was especially dear to her. She was her mom's constant companion over the last several years and recently was able to share precious and fun filled time with her youngest sister. She enjoyed walks along Lake Michigan with her beloved dog, Ziggy Stardust, Packer games (GO PACK GO!), and Sunday outings with her friends. Family and friends were everything to her. Her siblings; Randall & Andrea Kober with children, Tom and Lilly of Dinkelsbuehl, Germany; Jacqueline & Michael Kelly of Kansas City with daughters Kathleen of Bend, Oregon and Megan of Ft. Collins, Colorado; Christine Kober with daughter, Allie, of Madison and large extended family that spans the entire USA from Washington to New York will come together to celebrate her life. All are invited to join in this celebration on Wednesday, Nov. 13, St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, 1441 South 11th Street, Sheboygan. Visitation will be from 3:30 until 5:30 and the mass immediately following. "If you have the power to make someone happy, do it. The world needs more of that." Cathy knew how to fill any room, even the biggest room, with laughter. Good-bye Cathy, we will miss you...
