Charles A. "Chuck" Morris, age 64, of Howards Grove, died peacefully on Sunday April 5, 2015 at the Sharon Richardson Community Hospice Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 15, 1951 in Augusta, GA., a son of Daniel and Carol Morris. Chuck and his family moved to Sheboygan in 1955, where he attended Grant Elementary School, Urban Middle School and was a 1969 graduate of North High School. On November 14, 1970, Nancy Marver and Charles Morris were united in marriage at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Chuck started his working career as a meat cutter with Sheboygan Sausage Company. He was later a welder, working at Gilson and Spring Valley Iron Works. Chuck retired as a supervisor at Jadair Inc. in Port Washington in 2013. Chuck had various hobbies and interests. He was a former member of the Howards Grove Jaycees and Koenigs Conservation Club. He was an avid baker, and provided his signature Pecan and Key Lime Pies to fundraisers at his church, Bethany Reformed, where he also donated time and talent. Chuck was passionate about old cars and built a 1937 Chevy Business Coupe. He had been working on his wife Nancy's 63 T-bird before his illness. He loved spending time with the Summer Knights Car Club in Plymouth and proudly displayed his 1937 in various car shows where his car garnered several awards. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors whenever he could. Family was most precious to Chuck. He treasured his time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife Nancy, Chuck is also survived by his son, Eric (Staci) Morris, of Cary, NC and his daughter, Rachel (Andy) Leick of Sun Prairie, WI; his grandchildren; Ben and Sophia Morris, Lauren and Allison Leick; his mother, Carol Morris, Spartanburg, SC; two sisters, Linda (Ellen) Morris of Elkhorn, WI and Gloria Rogers of Meridian, ID.; one brother, Randy (Julie) Morris of Beloit, WI, along with aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Daniel. A Funeral Service to celebrate Chuck's life will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. at Bethany Reformed Church, 1315 Washington Avenue in Sheboygan with the Reverend Lyle Zumdahl and Pastor Philip Rose co-officiating. Friends may call on the family at Bethany on Wednesday from 3:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Greendale Cemetery.
