Charlie Gorr

Charlie Otto R. Gorr, Jr. age 82, of Sheboygan, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice surrounded by his loving wife and children.
He was born April 9, 1933, in Sheboygan to Otto and Margaret (Miketich) Gorr, Sr. He attended local area schools and served in the US Army Reserve.
For thirty-four years Charlie was employed at Kohler Co, retiring in 1986. He was a member of the Kohler Quarter Century Club.
On September 14, 1957 Charlie and Elaine Meyer were united in marriage at Zion Reformed Church.
Charlie was a lifelong member of Koenigs Conservation Club and was on the board of directors of Wisconsin Wildlife Federation. He was also a member of the Town of Sheboygan Fire Dept. and served as Town Constable, along with being a special deputy with the Sheboygan Co. Sheriffs Dept.
In his younger days he liked roller skating and dancing.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing in the north woods of Wisconsin and Canada with family and friends.
In addition to his loving wife, Elaine, he is survived by his children, Wendy Yinko (fianc, John Meyer) of Sheboygan Falls, Debbie (Paul) Healy of Monroe, LA, and Peter (Brenda) Gorr of Campbellsport; eleven grandchildren, Frank (Mandi) Yinko III, Robert (Pam) Yinko, James (Becca) Yinko, Laurie (Jamie) Groh, Thomas (Abby) Healy, Jessica (Zak) DeVries, Derek Healy, Emily Healy, Brandon Gorr, Matthew Gorr, and Joseph Gorr; twelve great-grandchildren, Ben, Katherine, Isaiah, Chase, Hudson, Jaxson, Penelope, twins, Edison and Jameson, Zen, Elise, and Blake; his brothers, William (Audrey) Gorr and Robert Gorr; his sisters, Dorothy Medlen and Barbara (Orville) Sizemore; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles Robert; his son-in-law, Frank Yinko, Jr; his sisters, Betty Zelko and Marge Buboltz; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-laws.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Rev. Alan Kubow, Associate Pastor of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
