Charmaine P. Mohr, 77, of Sheboygan, passed away on Monday September 11, 2017 surrounded by family at Aurora Medical Center Grafton. Charmaine was born September 4, 1940 in Sheboygan to Christian and Winnie (Gorter)Martin. She attended Central High School and dropped out to raise her family. At the age of 22 Charmaine was divorced with five children, but went back to night school to earn her High School Diploma, she then received a scholarship from the Sheboygan County Medical Auxiliary and went on to graduate from Holy Family School of Nursing in Manitowoc with her degree in nursing. On June 12, 1976, she was united in marriage to James Mohr.
Charmaine was a nurse at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 2004. She had an adventurous spirit that lead her on many camping trips and traveling to many different places. Her family was her pride and joy. Creating memories with them was her passion. She also was an avid cat lover. Charmaine loved to volunteer in her retirement, she did so at the Historical Research Center, the Sheboygan County Historical Museum, and with the Friends of Kohler - Andre, where she served as treasurer. She was also the treasurer for the Sheboygan AARP Chapter, and a camp ground host at Kohler - Andre and several other Wisconsin State Parks.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years James, her children; Jonica (Aaron) Schloseky, Cindi Kinsley, Terra Schmidt, Dawn (Will) Rippe and Michele Cisarek, by twenty-five grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, brother Joel (Betty) Martin, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Kathleen (Edwin) Livermore, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Chris Kau, and daughter Saundi Felsinger.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 12:00 NOON at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8th St. Sheboygan, with Pastor John Berg officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday, September 18, 2017 from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Friends of Kohler- Andre Fund in Charmaine's name.
