Cleo Damrow

Cleo M. Damrow, age 79 passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Columbia - St. Mary's Hospital in Mequon. She was born on December 13, 1935 in Sheboygan to parents Lincoln and Ethel (Biederwolf) Sixel. Cleo graduated in 1953 from Central High School. Cleo was united in marriage on August 13, 1955 to Ellsworth A. Damrow at Ebenezer United Church of Christ. Cleo dedicated many years to Christian Education. She taught fifth grade Sunday School, bible school and was instrumental in the Christian Education at St. John's United Church of Christ. Cleo belonged to the Women's Guild at church and the Women's Auxiliary Board at Lakeland College. She enjoyed crafts and attending musical concerts. Cleo is survived by five children; Lorie (Mike Rechlicz) Schroeder, Debbie Veldboom, Sharron Brulla, Rev. Brian (Dawn) Damrow and Karrie (Brian) Cosson, eight grandchildren; Christopher (Ashley) Kohn, Matthew (Amber) Brulla, Heather (Zach) Pettus, Seth Damrow, Andrew Brulla, Aaron Damrow, Sarah and Emily Cosson, and three great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother-in-law; James Huggins, sister-in-law; Beatrice TeStrote, nieces, nephews, special friends Roy and Vera Steinhardt and all of her friends at Harmony House. Preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ellsworth, sister Garnett Huggins, sons-in-law; Chris Schroeder and Trent Veldboom. A time of visitation and support will be held at St. John's U.C.C. 1248 Lincoln Avenue, on Tuesday, March 24 from 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Funeral Service at 1:00 PM with Rev. Greg Whelton presiding. Burial to follow at Wildwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in her name are appreciated. The family would like to thank the staff at Columbia - St. Mary's Hospital and Harmony House for all of their care and support.
