Clifford M. Berg Sr., 77, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away on Tuesday, June, 23, 2015 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. Clifford was born on February 1, 1938 in Sheboygan to the late Benjamin Sr. and Norma (Zastrow) Berg. He was baptized and confirmed at Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Clifford attended Bethlehem Lutheran Grade School and graduated from Central High School in 1956. Following graduation Clifford joined the US Air Force serving from 1956 to 1960. During his time in the Air Force he served with the 11th Air Police Squadron as a Sentry Dog Handler at the Altus Air Force Base in OK. On May 9, 1964 Clifford was united in marriage to the love of his life Karen K. Kober at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove. Clifford worked at the Kohler Co. from 1964 until his retirement in 2000. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls where he was a past Sunday school teacher. He was a member of Local 833 and the Kohler Co. Quarter Century Club. He was also a Cub Scout leader. From the late 90's through 2007 Clifford was a co-founder and board member of the Sheboygan Flag Football League and President of Lakeshore Flag Football Organization. Clifford especially loved spending time with his family, whom he put before all else. Clifford is survived by his wife Karen of Sheboygan Falls, by his children; Clifford M. Jr. (Tina Budd-Berg) Berg of Wausau, Matthew C. (Lisa) Berg of Sheboygan Falls, and Barbara K. (Special Friend Mike Neuhaus) Berg of Sheboygan. Three grandchildren; Nathaniel M. Berg, Brianna M. Berg and Allison K. Berg all of Sheboygan Falls. Brothers Charles Berg Sr. of Sheboygan, Daniel (Pat) Berg of Sheboygan and sister Phyllis (Donald) Mueller of Sheboygan. In-laws; Wayne (Mary) Goedeke of Howards Grove, Lloyd (Judy) Luecke of Howards Grove, Jack (Sue) Kober of Elkhart Lake, Gary (Theresa) Kober of Howards Grove and Steven Kober of Sheboygan. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, brother Benjamin (Kathleen) Berg Jr., sisters; Betty (John) Behrens, Carol (Elmer) Pieper, Charmaine (Alfred Sr.) Baumann and sister-in-law LaVerne Berg. In-laws Jacob Sr. (Arlene) Kober and brother-in-law Richard Kober. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015, at 3:00 PM at Zimmer Westview Funeral Service & Cremation Care Center W2132 Garton Rd. Sheboygan, with Pastor Mark Janzen officiating. ‘Clifford had encouraged casual attire be worn'. Inurnment will follow at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 26, 2015, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the FUNERAL HOME. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in Clifford's name. The family would like to say a special thank you to Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice & Staff, Aurora Visiting Nurses Association, Pine Haven Christian Communities, Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center Emergency Room and Dr. Draeger,St. Luke's Medical Center and Dr. Corsten and Aurora Grafton Hospital.
