Dale Knoll

Dale Denton Knoll, age 79, of Sheboygan, passed away Monday morning, November 3, 2014 at his home. He was born on September 7, 1935 in Conover, WI to Harley and Gertrude (Denton) Knoll. He lived in Conover his first five years, then two years in Newton, WI before moving to Sheboygan. He attended Washington Grade School and Sheboygan North High School. Dale worked nearly ten years at Polar Ware Co. before beginning employment at Schultz Sav-O Stores, retiring in 1997, where he was a member of the Teamsters. On August 29, 1964 Dale and Kathleen Leonhard were united in marriage in Chicago, having just celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary. Dale enjoyed camping with his whole family, scuba diving, shooting pool, bowling, fishing with his buddies, and scouting with Keith Schoessow. He also was a member of the original Sheboygan County Motorcycle Club. In addition to his wife, Kathleen, Dale is survived by his children, Christine (Steven) Te Stroete , Raymond (special friend, Debbie) Knoll all of Sheboygan, Terri (Tim) Brickner of Whitelaw, WI, and Dale (special friend, Stacy) Knoll of Sheboygan; one granddaughter, Emma Brickner; two step-grandchildren, Stephanie Te Stroete and Tyler Te Stroete; three sisters, Kay Knoll (Niles) Borth , Rae Knoll Pape, and Grace Knoll (Charlie) Strysick all of Sheboygan; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Nick) Haas of Sheboygan; and other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Mary (John) Weller and his nephew, Harley Pape. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Rev. Roger Mealiff will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service. Entombment will follow at Gardens of Peace Mausoleum. A memorial fund has been established in his name. Dale's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of those who helped with his care. We can't thank you enough. Dale was one of the last of the good guys.
