Darlagene Boedeker

Darlagene Boedeker, 81, of Kohler, completed her journey on earth, Sunday December 18 at Kathy Hospice in West Bend, WI. However, her spunky spirit will live with us forever.
Darla had a creative mind and kind heart. She always enjoyed the little things in life, especially time with her family.
Darla was born September 9, 1935, in Plymouth, WI. She was the daughter of Arno and Edna (Kasten) Thomas of Cleveland, WI. She graduated from Central High School in Sheboygan, WI. Darla was employed by Armira in the computer division for many years.
Darla was united in marriage to Carl J. Boedeker on October 17, 1953 at St Mark's United Church of Christ, Cleveland, WI, sharing 39 happy years together. Carl preceded her in death on Christmas Eve, 1992.
Darla is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Judy Boedeker of Kewaskum and her daughter and son-in-law Vicki and Jim Bachmann of Verona. Grandchildren David (Lindsey) Bachmann of Madison, Jonathan (Sherry) Boedeker of Campbellsport, Sarah (Andy) Connery of Sun Prairie, and Bethany (Ben) Sippel of West Bend. Also survived by her very special great grandbabies that she dearly cherished, Blake, Ben, Alex, Layney, Kaleb, Abby, and Rylie. Darla is also survived by her brother, Neale (Linda) Thomas of Kiel, and her sister-in-law Helen (Dan) Jonas of Shorewood and many nieces and nephews. A sister, Bonney Seifert, brother-in-law Daniel Boedeker and father and mother-in-law Art and Norma Boedeker predeceased her.
Family and friends will gather at 2 PM on Monday, December 26 at Darla's home for a celebration of her life. Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery in Kohler. A Memorial fund has been established in Darla's name.
