Darrel Kienberger Sr.

Darrel "Tiny" L. Kienberger Sr., 81, of Kiel passed away Friday, June 28, 2013. Darrel was born on October 1, 1931 in Long Prairie, MN to Lawrence and Minnie (Frerichs) Kienberger. Darrel married Carol Schwark on September 21, 1957. He worked at Hayssen Manufacturing and worked the family farm. He had a passion for animals and it showed with the large variety he cared for and took in. Darrel was a very humble man, who enjoyed the outdoors and loved the simple things in life. He loved spending time with his children and was extremely proud of his grandchildren. Dad was a gentle giant, who was loved by all. Darrel is survived by "serveral" children: one son; Darrel Jr. (Sherrie) Kienberger, three daughters; Sharron (Dan) Niquette, Cindy (Tom) Cain and Dawn (Randy) Haese, eleven grandchildren; Darrel III (Lisa) Kienberger, Amanda Kienberger, Angela (Nick) Mertens, Tyler (Carrie) Guell, Caylee Sparks, Breinne Cain, Brooke and Lucas Haese, Angelique (Matthew) Wegmann, Tina (Keith) Reese and Todd (Megan) Woelfel; eleven great-grandchildren and one on the way. He is also survived by; one sister, Shirley (Richard) Kanzelberger, many nieces and nephews, including one very special nephew who was like a son, David (Sally) Klein. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son; Ronald Ricky, two sisters; Donna Lawrence, Marlene (Richard) Klein, and four nephews; Bobby, Roger and Charles Lawrence and Michael Kanzelberger. A Memorial service will be held on Friday, July 5 at 7:00 PM at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (2132 Garton Road, Sheboygan) with Sheila Lackershire officiating. Gathering will be held at the Funeral Home from 4:00 PM until time of service. May the road rise up to meet you, May the wind be always at your back, May the sun shine warm upon your face, The rains fall soft upon your fields.
