David Fedler, 75, of Sheboygan, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice after a four week battle with recurring cancer. David was born December 19, 1937 in Sheboygan to the late Gerhardt and Myrtle (Hanson) Fedler. He graduated from North High School in 1956 and enlisted in the United States Air Force, working as a radar repairman from 1956 until 1960. In 1965, he graduated from UW Stout. Dave worked for a number of companies in engineering and purchasing, including FMC Hudson Sharp, Hayssen Manufacturing and Busse Inc. He retired from Busse as purchasing manager. In 1970 he adopted his eldest son, Scott. In 1973, he adopted his second son, Jeff. In 1989, he married Kathleen Schultz and gained three daughters. His love of the outdoors included the Kettle Moraine and Quetico Provincial Park. Dave shared his love of camping and canoeing. He worked for many years on the Ducks Unlimited Banquet and was a past member of Peterman's Hunting and Fishing Club. He also collected antique and contemporary decoys. Survivors include his wife, Kathi, two sons, Scott (Shanna) Fedler, Sheboygan Falls, Jeffery Fedler, Sun Prairie; three daughters, Jacquelyn (Wes) Grube, Bentonville, AR, Tania (Shad) Kuhlman, Madison, Kimberly Schultz, Elkhorn; five grandchildren, Landon Fedler, Olivia and Anika Grube, Lucas and Nessa Kuhlman; one brother, Fred (Mary) Fedler, Oviedo, FL; one sister, Jena Harmon, Edgewater, MD; two nieces, Allison Lane and Cory Chappell. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial service will be held for Dave on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove). Friends may call on Wednesday, at the funeral home, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will be in the Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. The family would like to thank the staff of the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Dr. Max Haid and the staff of the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic.
