David Klemme

April 6, 1946 — August 29, 2014

David F. Klemme, 68, of Kohler, passed away unexpectedly Friday, August 29, 2014 at St. Nicholas Hospital. David was born April 6, 1946 in Sheboygan to the late Herbert and Eleanor (Boll) Klemme. He attended and graduated from the Delavan School for the Deaf. David worked with his parents on the family farm until 1976. He then went to work at the Kohler Company starting in the Sanitation Division before moving to the Brass Division. He was a member of the Quarter Century Club and retired in 2008. David loved model trains, snowmobiling, fishing, animals, bicycling and was an avid fan of wrestling and the Green Bay Packers. He loved the Sheboygan County Fair and never missed it. He was a faithful member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Survivors include one sister, Diane Thusius, Madison; one brother, Donald R. (Janet) Klemme, Sheboygan; one sister-in-law, Sue Klemme, Medical Lake, WA; one aunt, Margaret Boll, Plymouth and Corrine Seliger, Sheboygan; nieces and nephews, Mark (Reisa) Klemme, Medical Lake, WA, Kathy Christensen, Santa Monica, CA, Carolyn (Dr. Joseph) Gerwin, Pontiac, IL, Dr. Kristi (Dr. Daniel) Kanitz, Cedarburg, Sheryl (Kevin) Sandal, Everett, WA, Scott D. (Barbara) Klemme, Sheboygan and Tracy (Keith) Kosbau, Madison; eleven grandnieces and grandnephews and many cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Charles G. Klemme, one brother-in-law, Dexter Thusius. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Zimmer's Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove) with the Rev. Brett Matz officiating. Friends may call on Tuesday, at the funeral home, from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow at Saron United Church of Christ Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Sheboygan.
