David P. McKnight,56, of Sheboygan, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at his home, with his family by his side. He was born June 21, 1962 in North Carolina to Thomas and Winifred (Bradford) McKnight. David attended South High School in Sheboygan.
On June 2, 1990, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Robson at Kiwanis Park. David worked as a maintenance mechanic for Lakeside Foods. A lover of the outdoors, you could always find him fishing, going for rides on his motorcycle, and sitting around the campfire. David was an avid cat lover and enjoyed spending time with his family creating memories.
David is survived by his wife Cheryl, sons; Jacob (Fiancée Courtney Russell) McKnight and Lucas (Fiancée Jennifer Johansen) McKnight, sister Linda (Michael) Batt, brother Tom (Jean) McKnight, father-in-law Vern Robson, sisters-in-law; Jodee Schmid and Letha (Keith) Rudie, and brother-in-law David (Lisa) Robson. David held a special place in his heart for his niece Andrea Batt. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, sister-in-law Sylvia McKnight and brother-in-law Jim Schmid.
A Celebration of David's Life will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Meyer's Lakeview Pub, 550 Wilson Ave. Sheboygan.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Camp Evergreen in David's name.
