Debra J. Rahn, age 40, of Sheboygan, went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday evening, February 3, 2015 after a long illness. Over the years she enjoyed volunteering at Trinity, Sheboygan County Historical Society, and in school classrooms. Debbie was a kind, generous, and loving daughter and sister, and her nieces and nephews brought her great joy. She was known for her love of family, friends, animals, preserving nature, reading, the Packers, and traveling. Her many trips took her to Washington D.C., Monterey, California, Rome, Italy for her sister's wedding, and all over the state of Texas. She also enjoyed many happy times with her "campfire family". Debbie is survived by her father, Eldon (Char) Rahn, her siblings, Jennifer (Andrew) Vreeke of Austin, TX, Wade (Ann) Rahn of Sheboygan, and Valerie Rahn of Conroe, TX; three stepsisters, Amy (Eric) Glewen of Sheboygan, Christine (Jesse) Dean of Ramsey, MN, and Becky (Al) Raasoch of Plover, WI; nephews, Joseph Rahn and Matthew Vreeke; nieces, Madelyn Rahn and Hannah Vreeke; step-nieces and step-nephews, Emily, Jacob, Megan, and Zachary Glewen, and Grace and Drew Dean; and many other relatives and friends. Debbie was preceded in death by her mother, Kathy Rahn; her maternal and paternal grandparents, Arnold and Elizabeth Knoener and Alfred and Viola Rahn; and her cousins, Lars, Sarah, and Mike. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Rev. Timothy J. Mech, Pastor, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held at church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name. Debbie wanted to express her heartfelt thanks to her family and friends for their love and support, a dear nurse, Kami, and the entire staff at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their excellent care these final days. Debbie will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to know and love her.
