Delores Annie Kammerer, age 89, of Sheboygan Falls, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 after a short stay at Sheboygan Senior Community. She was born April 12, 1926 in Elkhart Lake to Oscar and Lula (Mueller) Gierke. On August 27, 1949 Delores and Harold O. Kammerer were united in marriage at Immanuel United Church of Christ-Town Herman. The couple farmed in the Town of Rhine until moving to Sheboygan Falls in 1972. Over the years Delores held several jobs as babysitter, motel employee, cook and housekeeper. She also was active in 4-H and enjoyed playing cards and the game Aggravation. Above all, she was a loving, dedicated homemaker to her family and a grandmother to the neighborhood children. She was a current member of Grace United Church of Christ in Kohler. Previously she and Harold were members of Immanuel United Church of Christ in the Town of Herman and Community United Church of Christ in Elkhart Lake. In addition to her husband, Harold, she is survived by two sons, Chuck (Joan) Kammerer of Chilton and Rich (Kaye) Kammerer of Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Tina Doucet of Louisana, Brett (Emily) Kammerer of Madison, David (Claire) Kammerer of Washington, and Eric Kammerer of Sheboygan; eight great-grandchildren, Devin, Shelby, Erin, Bentley, Leo, Hazel, Hunter, and Orion; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and brothers-in-law, Elvera Gierke, Jeanette (Edgar) Bunge, Alice (Walter) Wickesberg, and Ellen (LeRoy) Sixel. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road, Howards Grove, WI. Rev. Thomas Schroeder, Pastor of Grace United Church of Christ in Kohler, will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
