Diane Daniels

October 3, 1939 — August 8, 2014

After a long and courageous battle, Diane Daniels passed away early Friday morning, August 8, 2014. In spite of her pain and suffering, Diane never complained or asked "why me?" She was born in Cleveland, Wisconsin on October 3, 1939, grew up in Sheboygan, and graduated from Central High School in 1958. She thoroughly enjoyed her many high school friends and still remained in contact with many. Diane loved time with family, good friends, laughter, dining out, and lunching with her "club." She also enjoyed walking along Lake Michigan, hiking in Kohler-Andrae State Park and the Kettle Moraine State Forest, exploring the Red Rock Trails of Sedona, Arizona, and watching the sunset from the back yard at the family home while enjoying a glass of wine. She was especially thankful for all the many years spent working at the Mead Public Library and her co-workers who shared her love of books and reading. Diane also loved dancing with her lifelong dance partner and husband, Mike, in spite of his two left feet. Diane is survived by her husband, Michael, sons, Patrick (Cathy) and Kevin, daughter, Kathy (John) Pearman, and grandchildren, Amy and Joseph. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Keenan, brothers, Cary and Ken Keenan, and sister-in-law, Lee Keenan. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 6:00 p.m. Monday, August 11, 2014 at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 818 Huron Avenue in Sheboygan by Rev. Carlos Zapata. A time of visitation and support will be held at the church from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in her name.
