Donald Jeanty

June 8, 1925 — September 26, 2015

Donald N. Jeanty, 90, of New Holstein, formerly of Kiel, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Willowdale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Donald was born June, 8, 1925, in Kiel, to the late Joseph and Olive (Nett) Jeanty. He graduated from Kiel High School. Donald married the former Jacqueline Klapperich on September 1, 1956. She preceded him in death on February 17, 2004. Donald served his country in the United States Army as an infantryman and also played the saxophone in the band. After serving in the military, Donald worked at the Kohler Company, in the safety department of the foundry. Donald played saxophone with many bands including Freelancing, the Kingsman, Elroy Berkholtz Band and once with Cousin Fuzzy at the Sheboygan Theatre. He also enjoyed antiquing and going out dancing with his wife. Survivors include his son, Vic (Amy) Jeanty; one daughter, Madelynn (Kurt) Knoespel; three grandsons, Joseph, Jesse and Jadon Jeanty and one brother, Dale (LuAnne) Jeanty. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Christopher Kloppenburg, one brother, Orville Jeanty and one sister, Janet Temreck. In accordance with Donald's wishes, no services will be held. The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff of Willowdale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Heartland Hospice and Dr. Michael Hetzner for their excellent care. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Don's godchild, Arlene (Tom) Detroye for their kindness and assistance to Donald over the years.
