Donald Seering

Donald A. Seering age 91 of Sheboygan was called to his eternal home on Monday August 26, 2014. Donald had been a resident at Morningside Health Care Center the past year. Prior to moving to Sheboygan he resided at his home on Shawano Lake. He was born on September 18, 1922 in the Town of Hartland, the son of William and Anna Seering. He married Elizabeth (Betty) Mueller on March 12, 1950 in Bonduel. Betty preceded Don in death on July 25, 2001. He attended school in Bonduel and worked on the family farm. He proudly served his Country in the US Marine Corp from 1944 to 1946; he served in Saipan, the Philippines and Okinawa, Japan, arriving there one month after the end of the war. Don worked at Kohler Company in the pottery and brass divisions for thirty years retiring in 1985. He was a quarter century member. After retirement Don and Betty returned to their home on Shawano Lake enjoying many years together, leading the quiet life. He loved to hunt and fish providing many meals for family and friends over the years. He enjoyed teaching his sons the skills of hunting and fishing and spending time with them enjoying these sports. He was a great caregiver for Betty when she became ill. Don is survived by his three children; Thomas (Karen) Seering, Martin Seering, and Pamela (Ken) Marks all of Sheboygan; eight grandchildren Martha and Michael Marks, James (Janet) Yurk, Rich Yurk, Traci (Peter) Carlson, Robyn (Colby) Black, Jeff and Greg Wriedt; thirteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Also two sisters, Lilas Sheleski of Green Bay and Rosaline Kirschling of Menasha; one brother-in-law Walter Mueller of Bonduel. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at 11:00 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, W4496 County Road E, Bonduel, WI. Visitation will be from 10:00 until the time of service. Burial will be in the church cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in lieu of flowers.
