Doniella Fortuna

Doniella Mary Fortuna, age 90, of Sheboygan, passed away Friday December 4, 2015 at the Pine Haven Covenant Home in Sheboygan Falls. She was born in Sheboygan on August 11, 1925, a daughter of the late John and Rose (Sincovic) Virant. Doniella attended Ss Cyril Methodius Grade School and graduated from Sheboygan Central High School. On July 21, 1949 Doniella Virant was united in marriage to Anthony J. Fortuna at Ss Cyril Methodius Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Doniella had been employed at various local businesses and retired from J.C. Penneys after more than 20 years of service. Tony preceded her in death on May 13, 2011. She was a life member of Ss. Cyril Methodius Catholic Church where she was a dedicated member of the Choir, KSKJ and CARITAS Surviving Doniella are four sons: David of Washington, D.C., Dennis (Michelle) of Cedarburg, Anthony (Kathryn) of Sheboygan and Michael of Milwaukee; a daughter in law, Connie (Fortuna) Clark of Sheboygan; 8 grandchildren; Therese (Tony) Hurley, Timothy, Jennifer (Greg) Botic, Amanda (Cory) Sarazen, Joseph, Jason (Katie) Fortuna, Corrina and Natalie; 12 great-grandchildren, One brother, Justin Virant and two sisters, Pauline Rupar and Virginia McMannis. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by an infant son Charlie, and son, James R. Fortuna, two brothers; Frank and Victor, and three sisters; Mary Majcen, Mollie Schuster and Jean Franzen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Doniella on Wednesday December 9, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Ss. Cyril Methodius Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest at Greendale Cemetery next to her husband Tony. Friends may call at Zimmers Westview Funeral Cremation Care Center on Tuesday from 3 until 6 pm. and at the Church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established to Ss Cyril Methodius Church in the name of Doniella Fortuna.
