Dorothy Engelman

Dorothy Florence Engelman, age 98 years died June 5, 2015. A resident of Sunny Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center for the past several years, she was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on August 3, 1916. The daughter of the late Jacob and Margaret (Geiger) Warrens, she was a local resident for her entire life. She completed high school and worked in various roles in addition to being a dedicated and loving homemaker. On November 29, 1933 she married Frederick J. Engelman of Sheboygan at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. She was a member of St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church. She provided volunteer service for many years at the Sheboygan Senior Center as well as various other organizations. Dorothy is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Bernadette Engelman of Trumbull, CT; five grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter, four brothers, and one sister. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday June 11, 2015 at 12 Noon at St. Dominic Catholic Church (2133 N. 22nd Street, Sheboygan). Rev. Phil Reifenberg will be the celebrant of the Mass. Friends may call on Thursday at the Ballhorn Chapels and Crematory (1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan) for visitation from 10 AM until 11:30 AM. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
