Dorothy Fricke

Dorothy M. Fricke, age 86, of Sheboygan, went home to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Saturday morning, July 25, 2015 at Morningside Nursing Home. She was born April 25, 1929 in Sheboygan to Leslie and Marie Paulson. She was a graduate of Sheboygan Central High School. She was previously married to Jerome A. Fenn. On April 8, 1967 Dorothy married Duane C. Fricke. Over the years she was employed at St. Nicholas Hospital, United Way of Milwaukee and most recently at Schroeder Brothers Home Improvement. She was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church. Dorothy was an avid sports fan and was particularly loyal to Brett Favre, Corey Hart, and Sammy Sosa. She was an excellent seamstress and loved spending memorable times with her family and her dog, Patches, whom she had for eleven years. In addition to her husband, Duane, she is survived by eight children, Sheila Miesfeld, Jerry (Rhonda) Fenn, Duane D. Fricke, David E. Fricke, Diane (Raymond) Larson, Catherine Baumert, all of Sheboygan, and Michael (Donna) Fenn of DesArc, AK and Alan (Patricia) Fenn of Chilton; twenty five grandchildren; forty seven great and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Catherine (Billy) Free and Barbara (Gerald) Langlois; one brother, Trevor Paulson; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and step-father, David Niesing, she was preceded in death by an infant child, her daughter, Daune M. Fricke, one granddaughter, and one great-grandson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Pastor Dan Babbel of Bethel Baptist Church will officiate. A time of visitation and support will be held from 12 noon until the time of service. Burial will follow the service. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Dorothy's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Home Instead, Morningside Nursing Home and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for their tender, loving care.
