Edyth J. Roenitz, 86, of Kohler, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. Edyth was born March 30, 1928 in Sheboygan to the late Homer and Elvira Holden. She graduated from North High School in 1946. On June 17, 1950 she married Robert Roenitz at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Edyth was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kohler. She was resident of Kohler from 1991 until moving to Pine Haven in fall of 2012. Edyth enjoyed her family, gardening and doing needlepoint. Survivors include two sons, Philip (Kim) Roenitz, Marietta, GA and Mark (Meg) Roenitz, Lemont, IL; four grandchildren, Lara, Kurt, Anna and Kate Roenitz; two brothers, Clifford (Carol) Holden and Larry (Jennifer) Holden. In addition to her parents and husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by one son, David and stepmother, Madeline. A funeral service for Edyth with be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Ballhorn Chapel and Crematory (1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan) with the Rev Wayne King officiating. Friends may call on Monday, at the funeral home, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow at the Lutheran Cemetery, Sheboygan. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Association in Edyth's memory would be appreciated. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Pine Haven Covenant Home.
