Elle (Lucinda) Louise Konetzki of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, entered the eternal joy of being with the Lord. Jesus Christ.
She was born April 17, 1957, a daughter of Leonard and JoAnn (Vitek) Salek. Elle was a 1975 graduate of Phillips High School, later studying as a nursing student, discovering her passion for spiritual care. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree at Concordia University- Wisconsin in Lay Ministry and Theology with honors. She continued her studies at Concordia Theological Seminary at Fort Wayne, IN and received her Masters of Arts and Deaconess certification. She was installed as a commissioned Deaconess to Trinity Lutheran Church (LCMS) in Sheboygan on January 8, 2017. "The Holy Spirit has led our family's path of service to Christ and humanity."
Elle received much joy in quilting, flower gardening and reading. Elle and Alan enjoyed purchasing "fixer-upper" homes and recently completed the work on their home in Sheboygan. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a member of its school board, Stephen Ministry, Higher Things Youth Retreats and women's outreach through New Life Church in Ft Wayne, IN.
In addition to her loving husband Alan, she is survived by two sons; Maxwell Konetzki serving with the US Air Force stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Stanton Konetzki who is graduating from Sheboygan Lutheran High School and will attend Concordia University-Wisconsin; her mother and father Leonard and JoAnn Salek of Brownsville, WI; one brother David Salek of Brownsville, WI; two sisters, Jan (Steve) Anderson of West Allis, WI and Jodee (Steve) Pegelow of Juneau, WI; and much loved nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
A time of visitation and of support will be held on Tuesday May 16, 2017 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Avenue in Sheboygan from 4 until 7 pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 1 pm until the time of service at 2 pm.
Memorials may be directed to the Deaconess Program at Concordia Theological Seminary-Ft. Wayne; Lutheran Agency for Missions to Burmese, Ft. Wayne, IN and the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice to support the life and work of Elle.
