Emily Oehldrich, age 97, of Sheboygan, died Thursday morning, April 2, 2015 at Countryside Manor. She was born March 24, 1918 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Fred and Marie (Enders) Felde. She attended local schools and was a graduate of Sheboygan High School, Class of 1936. On June 4, 1938 Emily was united in marriage at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. They greatly enjoyed fishing together over their sixty-eight year marriage. Arno preceded Emily in death on August 31, 2006. In her early years Emily had worked at the Kohler Company for fifteen years and was a proud union member of UAW Local 833, until they went on strike in April of 1954. During WW II she made shell casings for the war effort. Afterwards she became a homemaker. For many years Emily volunteered at the voting polls in Sheboygan. Emily is survived by three grandchildren, Kelly (Patrick) Graves of Sheboygan, Kristine (Scott) Oudinot in Monroe, WI, and Steven (Joan) Oehldrich of Sheboygan; ten great-grandchildren, Nicholas (Kristin) Graves, Zachary Graves, Cody Oudinof, Cole Oudinot, Abby Oudinot, Caden Oudinot, Aaron Oehldrich, Crystal Oehldrich, Jacob Sonneman, and Courtney Sonneman; two great-great-grandchildren, Madelyn Graves and Brantley Dassler; and other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald in 2004 two brothers, Fred Felde, Jr., and Christ Felde; two sisters, Dorothea Thun and Emma Brown. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Rev. Gregory S. Whelton will be the officiant. A time of visitation and support will be held from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Entombment will take place at Garden Terrace Mausoleum. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
