Emma Holzwart, a lifelong resident of Sheboygan, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. She was 98 years old.
Emma, also affectionately known as Ann by her family and friends, was born August 15, 1919 in Sheboygan, the daughter of Henry and Lena (Sheldeanot) Holzwart. She attended school in Sheboygan, graduating from Sheboygan Central High School in 1938. For over 40 years, Emma proudly worked in her father's family business, Sheboygan Cap Company, first in manufacturing and later in a supervisory position.
Throughout her life, Emma enjoyed traveling with her sister Hilma, including trips to USO dances, Florida, Colorado, and a special trip to Cuba, as well as spending most of her time with her family and beloved dog Shadow.
A devoted and dedicated Christian, Emma was a former member of Ebenezer Lutheran Church and current member of Trinity Lutheran Church. A caregiver by nature, Emma tenderly assisted and dedicated her life to those she loved throughout her life. Her siblings, mother, father, nieces and nephews were all blessed by her attentive and loving care.
Emma is survived by her sister Alma (Robert) Junker of Sheboygan, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her siblings: Hilma Bubnes, Emil Holzwart and Walter Holzwart.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 824 Wisconsin Ave. in Sheboygan with Rev. Tim Mech officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday morning from 10:00 - 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery.
