Erwin "Joe" Wilke Jr.

Erwin "Joe" Wilke Jr., age 87, passed away on June 18, 2022.  He was born on February 14, 1935, in Sheboygan to the late Erwin and Florence (Rumney) Wilke Sr..  He graduated from Central High School.  Joe proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1957 until 1959.

Joe was an avid sports fan, going to many Bucks, Brewers, and Badger games with family and friends.  He also enjoyed watching racing at the Milwaukee Mile.  Joe made many memories at his cottage at Lake Mary with family and friends.

He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Paul (Donna) Wilke, Wayne (Grace) Wilke, Ellen Ward, Sharon (Jack) Froelich and Dale Wilke.

Along with his parents, joe was preceded in death by his brothers, William (Ruth) Wilke and Ronald (Shirley) Wilke.

A private family service will be held.  Joe will be laid to rest at Lutheran Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in Joe’s name.
