Esther Heusterberg

Esther L. Heusterberg. 95. of Howards Grove, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. She was born November 25, 1917 in the Town of Sheboygan Falls to the late Herman and Clara (Schomberg) Paul. Esther attended Prange Grade School. On February 19, 1939 she married Frederick Heusterberg. She worked for 25 years at The Store in Howards Grove. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Howards Grove and was a charter member of the Ladies Aid, taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. Esther and Frederick moved to North Ft. Meyers, Florida where they were active members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. She returned to Wisconsin in 1999 living in Howards Grove. Esther is survived by one son Donald (Gerlaine) Heusterberg; one daughter Kathleen (Peter) Glaser; six grandchildren, Vicki (Junior) Ritchie, Glenn (Terri) Grunewald, Eric (Diane) Glaser, Tracy (Patty Faber) Olson, Kim DePas and Kevin (Ruth) Heusterberg; 12 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; three sister-in-laws, Verna Groene, Adela Damrow, Evelyn Sprenger; two brother-in-laws, Gerhardt Bender and Roland Groene. Also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Esther was preceded in death by a son Richard; two sisters, Evelyn Erbstoeszer and Ruth Bender. A funeral service for Esther will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church (W2776 STH 32, Howards Grove) with the Rev. Darrel Bergelin officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, at the church from 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Interment will be at the church cemetery. A memorial will be established in her name.
