Eugene Spindler

Spindler, Eugene "Geno", age 53, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2014 after a motorcycle accident. He was born August 28, 1960 in Plymouth to parents Elroy and Marcella (Hameister) Spindler. Eugene graduated in 1978 from Sheboygan Falls High School. He worked at Plenco for over 25 years. Eugene was united in marriage on July 19, 2013 to Chris Ertel. Geno enjoyed shooting pool, going for motorcycle rides, fishing, bowling, softball, darts and reading. He had a passion for "good" music, cooking, taking care of his garden and socializing with friends and family around the bonfire. Geno always had a project in motion. He will be remembered for his infectious laugh and a huge heart. Eugene is survived by his wife; Chris, five children; Tiffany Boeldt, Jarred (fiancé Krista Vandenberg) Spindler, Rachel (fiance Jeff Stanley) Behrendt, Rebecca Behrendt and Charlotte "Charlie" Behrendt, nine grandchildren; Caleb, Austin, Brady, Blake, Libby, Jameson, Violet, Madison and Nate, his mother Marcella Spindler, brother; Allen (Joan) Spindler, sister; Darlene (Thomas) Ott, sister-in-laws; Jennifer Spindler, Vicky (Randy) Meyer, Kathy (Steve) Kieckhafer and Karla Phillips. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Elroy, brother Merlin "Shifty", parents-in-law; Loyce Klokow and Melvin Ertel. Visitation on Sunday, June 1 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Zimmer Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Road, (Hwy 42 & JJ). Funeral Service will be held on Monday, June 2 at 11:00 AM at St. Marks UCC, W1307 Orchard Road, Cleveland with Pastor Bill Kesting presiding.
