Evelyn M. Niesing, age 90, passed away peacefully on July 16, 2021, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Evelyn was born on May 12, 1931, in Sheboygan, WI to the late Ralph and Alice (Ackeret) Lemp Sr. She graduated from Central High School. She was a member of TOPS. Evelyn also taught Sunday School for many years at First Methodist Church, which is now St. Lukes Methodist Church. On June 24, 1950, Evelyn was married to Waldemar Niesing at First Methodist Church. He preceded her in death on September 11, 2017.
Evelyn loved going to breakfast at Parkside with her son. She enjoyed going to garage sales and collecting dolls. Playing Uno and Sheepshead was also a favorite of Evelyn’s. She went on numerous bus trips to various casinos and going with her daughter (and favorite son-in-law) to the local casinos. Evelyn was an amazing baker with pecan pie, apple turnovers and blueberry cheesecake being some of the family’s favorites. She was a gentle soul and very kind to others, putting everyone else before herself. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Dorothy (Dan) Shaske and John Niesing; brother Ralph Lemp Jr., grandchildren, Jason (Stephanie) Niesing, Amber Roth, Adriana Brossard; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Christiana and Nehemiah and a sister-in-law Rose Blankenship.
